What is Chertra Chat?
Chertra Chat is a free, web-based service for adults to meet through real-time conversations around shared interests and languages.
Is Chertra Chat free?
Yes. The service is currently free to use and does not require payment or card details.
Do I need an account?
Guest access is available for starting a conversation. A registered account can provide additional account features where available.
Is Chertra Chat for adults only?
Yes. Chertra Chat is intended only for people aged 18 and over.
How does matching work?
Eligible adults can choose languages, interests and a conversation goal. The service uses those preferences to look for a compatible conversation; a match is not guaranteed.
Can I send images?
Supported image messages can be sent in eligible conversations. Do not share identity documents, financial information or images you do not have the right to share.
Can I send voice notes?
Short voice notes are supported in eligible conversations and are validated by the service before delivery.
Can I reconnect with someone?
Account users may have reconnect or people features when the conversation and account qualify. Availability is not guaranteed.
Can I block someone?
Yes. Use the available block control when you no longer want to interact or be matched with someone.
How do I report someone?
Use the Report control when available, or contact the Chertra Support Centre for a safety or conduct concern.
Does Chertra Chat moderate reports?
Reports may be reviewed through the moderation process. Review is scoped to relevant content and context; conversations are not claimed to be continuously monitored.
Is Chertra Chat end-to-end encrypted?
No end-to-end-encryption claim is made. Chertra uses server-side security and encryption controls, and reported material may be reviewed by authorised moderators when necessary.
Who can access reported content?
Relevant reported content may be accessed by authorised reviewers for safety, moderation or legal obligations. Access should be limited to what is needed.
Should I share personal information with strangers?
No. Keep passwords, OTP codes, banking details, payment information, identity documents and precise location private.
Do I need software or an extension?
No download or browser extension is required. Chertra Chat runs in a modern web browser.
What languages are supported?
The interface supports English, Italian, French, Spanish and German.
